Andrew W. Proctor

Andy Proctor is a principal of Atlantic Real Estate Capital and is a veteran commercial real estate finance executive with twenty-seven years’ experience originating, underwriting, structuring and closing debt and equity transactions. During that time, Andy has sourced capital for more than $2 billion of multi-family, office, industrial, hotel and net-lease transactions across the Nation.

His background includes eleven years with GE Capital, where he focused on hospitality and single-tenant/owner-user commercial finance transactions, including sale-leasebacks and synthetic leases.  During his time with GE, he was the top national loan originator twice and top regional loan originator five times.  Andy’s banking background includes four years with First Union as a construction lender and five years with Wachovia Real Estate Capital Markets, where he originated CMBS and life insurance debt for all property-types. Andy has extensive relationships in the industry that include banks, insurance companies, CMBS lenders and private equity funds.  His early career included working as a commercial appraiser and feasibility consultant and he has invested in multiple office and hospitality properties.  Andy’s diverse background as a lender, an appraiser, a mortgage banker and an owner brings a unique perspective to each new assignment that few in the industry can match.

Andy earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. He has taken CCIM classes, Appraisal Institute classes and is Six Sigma Certified.

On a personal front: Andy is active in his children’s activities, has coached more than thirty youth sports teams, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Blackhawk Lacrosse Club in Hanover, Virginia. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and serves on the Executive Committee of Hanover Ducks Unlimited.
